Established in Johor Bahru, Committed to the Region
Keadilan Firm was founded in 2011 by lawyers who recognised that individuals and smaller businesses in Johor Bahru frequently struggled to find legal support that was both accessible and technically sound. The firm began as a small practice handling document matters and straightforward commercial disputes, building its client base through referrals rather than advertising.
Over the years the practice extended into commercial lease advisory and company secretarial work, areas where clients repeatedly found that general practitioners lacked the depth needed for complex negotiations or ongoing compliance management. The focus has always been narrow by design — doing a limited number of things well rather than spreading across every field of law.
Today the firm operates from Jalan Wong Ah Fook in central Johor Bahru, within walking distance of the Johor Bahru High Court and the main commercial district. This location reflects an intentional choice to remain embedded in the business community the firm serves.
— Mission & Values
What We Stand For
Precision over speed
A document filed incorrectly or a clause missed in negotiation can carry consequences that outlast the engagement. We take the time required to get the detail right.
Transparency throughout
Fees, timelines, and scope are stated in writing at the outset. Clients are updated when circumstances change, without waiting to be asked.
Accountability at every stage
Each matter is handled by a named lawyer, not delegated to juniors without supervision. You know who is responsible for your work at all times.

Professional Indemnity Coverage
The firm maintains professional indemnity insurance as required by Bar Council guidelines, offering clients an additional layer of protection for all engaged matters.
Client Confidentiality Protocol
All client communications and documents are handled under legal professional privilege. Strict internal access controls limit who can view client files within the firm.
Continuing Legal Education
Lawyers attend Bar Council CPD programmes and participate in commercial law seminars to remain current with legislative amendments and judicial developments.
Written Engagement Letters
Every engagement begins with a clear written letter setting out scope, fees, timeline, and responsibilities. Verbal-only agreements are not accepted as the basis for proceeding.
Document Version Control
Drafts and amendments are tracked systematically. Clients receive final documents with a clear record of material changes from initial to executed versions.
— About the Practice
Civil and Commercial Legal Expertise in Johor Bahru
Keadilan Firm operates from the commercial centre of Johor Bahru, advising Malaysian individuals and registered businesses on matters of civil and commercial law. The practice concentrates on work where precise document handling and structured negotiation produce outcomes that directly affect a client's legal and financial position.
The firm's approach to document preparation draws on a thorough understanding of Malaysian court requirements and government agency submission standards. Demand letters, statutory declarations, and power of attorney instruments are prepared with the care that these documents warrant — reflecting the legal weight they carry once executed and filed.
Commercial lease advisory at Keadilan Firm is approached as a negotiation exercise, not a document exercise. Lawyers identify terms that carry disproportionate risk for the client and pursue amendments through structured engagement with the opposing party, aiming for an agreement that the client can operate under comfortably over its full term.
The company secretarial retainer service addresses a practical need for Malaysian SMEs and Sdn Bhd companies required to meet their statutory obligations under the Companies Act 2016. Annual returns, resolutions, and changes to company particulars are handled with attention to SSM timelines and procedural accuracy, reducing the risk of late filing penalties or compliance gaps that can complicate future corporate transactions.
